"The most profound technologies are those that disappear." – Mark Weiser
One of the coolest things about working at Crafting is that, even when I'm helping our most ambitious customers get set up, I almost never have to say "Sorry, we can't do that."
Having a robust and proven set of core capabilities lets us quickly move on to more interesting questions, like:
"Our devs pretty much exclusively use [agent harness] to make changes. Can Crafting support that workflow without a bunch of extra steps?"
Up to even just a year ago, [agent harness] was usually [IDE of choice]. The answer then, as it is now, is yes.
We've always understood that supporting the tools our customers are attached to is a core requirement of our platform, not a nice-to-have. Agent harnesses are especially interesting to us because they open the aperture of who can contribute to include users from less traditional technical backgrounds.
That's why I'm excited to share native support for Crafting Sandboxes with the top three agent harnesses out today: Claude Code, Cursor Agents, and ChatGPT Codex. More than just providing a safe, prod-like space for agents to run in, these integrations make the complexities of enterprise-grade sandboxes disappear into the native experience of the tools, so no extra steps are required from users.
All three integrations allow harnesses to quickly dispense fresh sandboxes as needed so agents can take full advantage of Crafting's unique capabilities to build, test, and verify changes end-to-end on your own infra. We're releasing all three today in beta as fully configurable open source projects for our customers.

You can now select Crafting Sandbox as an SSH target in the Claude Desktop app for new coding threads. Each new thread will spawn its own sandbox using a default template you can specify during the interactive setup. Supported on all paid Claude plans.

Terminal-based Claude Code sessions are already supported inside cs ssh sessions!

Specify new or existing Crafting sandboxes for Cursor Agent to work within by initiating an SSH connection with a cs- prefix. Each sandbox can serve multiple Cursor Agent threads. Sandboxes are created using a default template you can specify during the interactive setup. Supported on all paid Cursor plans (no enterprise account required!)

Last, but certainly not least.
I LOVE Codex, especially realtime voice mode. You can now select Crafting Sandbox as an SSH-based project in Codex for new threads. Each new thread will spawn its own sandbox using a default template you can specify during the interactive setup. Supported on all paid Codex plans. And yes, it works with voice mode :)
It even works in ChatGPT's Work mode, for non-technical use cases too!

If there's a harness you love that you want to see on this list, let us know and we'll make it happen.
We understand as well as anyone how fast this space is moving, and our own preferences for models and harnesses shift right along with it. That's why we think it's important to offer integrations that span a range of options, so you can invest in sandbox infra that works for your team without tightly coupling to any single model, provider, or harness.
Happy Crafting.
